Serving Our Community
RIVERSIDE, California, 92507-5238
Located in the heart of Riverside County, our organization is strategically positioned to serve children and families throughout the Inland Empire region. Our central location allows us to coordinate food distribution programs, educational workshops, and community outreach initiatives effectively across multiple neighborhoods and school districts.
We work closely with local schools, community centers, and healthcare providers to ensure our programs reach the children who need them most. Our Riverside headquarters serves as both an operational hub and a welcoming space for families to access resources and support.
Our Mission
Nourishing Kids, Changing Lives
Every child deserves access to nutritious meals that fuel their growth, learning, and potential. We believe that proper nutrition is the foundation for academic success, healthy development, and lifelong well-being.
FEED DEM KIDS is a nonprofit organization focused on providing healthy meals and nutritional education to children in underserved communities. We understand that hunger doesn't just affect a child's physical health—it impacts their ability to concentrate in school, participate in activities, and reach their full potential.
Our comprehensive approach combines immediate food assistance with long-term educational programs designed to break the cycle of food insecurity and empower families to make healthy choices for generations to come.

Weekend Food Gap
Experience food insecurity when school meals aren't available
Food insecurity among children has reached crisis levels in many American communities. When children are hungry, they struggle to focus in school, experience behavioral challenges, and face increased health risks. The weekend and summer months create particularly difficult periods when school meal programs aren't available, leaving many families scrambling to provide adequate nutrition for their children.
Our Programs
Weekend Backpack Program
Every Friday, we provide nutritious, kid-friendly meals that children can take home to ensure they have food throughout the weekend. Our backpacks contain easy-to-prepare items that require minimal adult supervision, empowering children to feed themselves when needed.
Nutritional Education
Interactive workshops teach children and families about healthy eating habits, meal planning, and food preparation. We make nutrition fun and accessible through hands-on cooking classes, garden projects, and educational games that promote lifelong healthy choices.
Summer Meal Programs
When school is out, hunger doesn't take a break. Our summer programs provide consistent, nutritious meals while engaging children in educational activities, sports, and enrichment programs that keep them active and learning during the critical summer months.
Our Impact
Making a Real Difference
Since our founding, FEED DEM KIDS has served over 50,000 meals to children in need across Riverside County. Our programs have reached more than 1,200 families, providing not just food assistance but also educational resources and community support.
Teachers report improved classroom behavior and academic performance among participating students. Parents share stories of relief knowing their children have access to nutritious meals. Most importantly, children tell us they feel cared for and supported by their community.
  • 95% of participating families report improved food security
  • 87% of children show better school attendance
  • 92% of families adopt healthier eating habits
